Because despite my marco level drawing skills I still didn't make it apparent in the photo that the fungus is actually longer, than the box. My bad, also I'd be scared that I'd squish some ants.

You need to give the ants a choice by placing your upturned container beside the fungus. They will move in if they need to and stay put if they are happy.

It's been about 48 hours since I added the tub and they haven't moved in. To me this suggests that they are OK atm don't know about what you guys think. But they are cutting leaves, and I'm sure the fungus is growing. So I'm ok if they are.

Right it's been well over a week and they haven't budged. I'm leaving the tub in as they really seemed to settle down when I added it. I suppose maybe the feeling of being between the side of the tub and the glass made them happy?

I've included a picture of the fungus close up. And the queen laying some eggs.

Looking great Jack, the picture of the queen laying was something I've never seen before, what kind if camera is did you use?
