If the queen and her workers are all friendly (about 40) should I add them or continue to add more workers?

she has passed away in the night, this morning all the ants where cleaning here (seeing there tongues) it was my first colony and because of my very inexperiencedness they only lasted 3 days blooming water! I would love to try again I really enjoyed watching this colony do its day to day work. at times i was literally sitting and watching them for 2 hours straight but I really cant afford another mainly coz im poor thank you everyone for your very helpful advice but sadly it was not enough, if only there was some magic spell which makes her come back to life.

Sorry to hear that Jim. I failed with my first Atta colony which i think were poisoned by where i got my leaves from but not sure. All you can do is put it all down to experience and start reading and saving. Don't let it all put you off though.

That's a real shame Jim, as Andy already said start reading and saving and you will have another before long.

Thanks Andy, but the problem is I got all the advanced things perfect (temp, humidity, leafs) but I couldn't do the basics (make sure the queen cant fall in the water)

Real shame Jim, I know that you were really well prepared and got everything perfect for them. Just a shame that you had to have an adventurous queen
Better luck next time.
If it makes just feel better, I failed with my first 4 Acromyrmex colonies...
