Hi,
Looking for single Acromyrmex queens 2-3. Fertile or not, doesn't matter. As long as they have no wings. It's for a science project showing how queens cultivate fungus
Thanks, marco

I think if they are not fertile you will struggle to get them to cultivate fungus. In the past I have found it very difficult to make this happen with guaranteed fertile queens, unfertilised queens much more difficult. What is the goal of your science project?

To show some of the kids at school the stages of development in fungus. They will be in a display cabinet with a live camera for them to all see in school or even at home. This should show them how interesting these ants van be and loads of people have already showed interest

Very nice. You will not be successful with single queens. You should consider moving your colony there temporarily.

Yeah. I just thought that single queens would be interesting to show as they get to watch the colony grow from a young age. I'll think about setting up a live cam of my colony and streaming it into a monitor there
