Ph of soil and its effect on fungal growth.

Just posted this paper in the Scientific papers section and thought I would stick a copy here. Dont suggest you read it all but the theory is, I think, interesting and could have an effect on husbandry techniques and materials used.
This paper, http://www.scielo.br/pdf/cr/v34n1/a12v34n1.pdf, suggests the best pH for the media (ie soil) is around 4-5, so quite acid. So in terms of soil-less nests, not sure how this affects things and for soil nests an acidic medium such as peat may tick the boxes.
