Re: Daubz Atta cephalotes
Daubz has now got new fungus and has introduced it to his queen. Fingers crossed first reports are promising. I am really happy we have got to this stage without queen dying. We are talking through PM, I am sure Daubz will update once things start to develop. But hopeful for a good result.

Quick update, not a lot to say but all seems well everyone is busy re-building the fungus and the queen has been eating the fungus, fingers crossed we are moving in the right direction.

Re: Daubz Atta cephalotes
Before i went to bed last night i put a piece of spotted laurel in with them, I checked this morning and a couple of segments had been cut, i also noticed there had been a couple of pieces which had been partially cut, I dont have that many big workers so i think its probably a bit hard to get through for the smaller workers, so i have put a rose petal and leaf and a piece of orange peel in this morning and i will see whats happened when i get home. Its looking promising at the moment.

That's great news Dale, it's a tough start but they sound like there coming back, I'm sure you will have learned loads from this also that's for sure. When everything is all rosie you don't learn much new I've found.

Re: Daubz Atta cephalotes
I added the 2nd pot of fungus about 45 minutes ago and all seems to be going well at the moment, still checking on them quite a lot. They definitely cut some spotted laurel and orange peel today, not a lot but a bit.
