I'll try get pics of the 2 new fungus gardens on as they got little bit bigger then other day one which is big is not even heated with heat mat they made it in with the leafs I put in the pod and the small one is on the heat mat next to the main pod I've seen loads taking bits of the main garden to the new gardens and going back for more the main garden looking great now I've seen pupa of a solider at the side am not sure how many they are now bit there lot more soliders and the tails of workers going out getting leafs have lot more now I wonder how the queen is as not seen her for very long time she must be deep in the main garden now in her chamber just been lazy and laying and feeding but all in all the colony is growing very nice I'll have re-think of how to feed them later on as colony grows think by winter time the far garden with no heat mat on will move it to the 2nd pod close to the main one I've seen tiny workers on the leafs been carried back to the nests I've had my cousins bring there friends over to see them lol asking how
Many ants you got and were you buy them I want them

But so far so good guys :) 10:01am. Saturday 9th July 2016

Ric, your colony is epic. I got the pictures you sent to me and I think you are doing so well. I have a very interesting post to update on here from my visit to Canada, you are going to love it! Watch out for it.

Youve got to post a pic now, what to do is feed them their favourite and take some pics when they are very busy.

Will only get worse Ricco, you will be finding the escapees walking about your house before long, might be time to start thinking of a moat.

I think this may be the disadvantage of the pod system. It must, by necessity, be combined with a traditional moated feeding arrangement after the colony gets to a certain size.
