I think he's actually already selling them because he's off to uni, along with his weaversAndyj wrote:ThanksErm,,,, I keep thinking of Atta and then i think of the size and i should just concentrate on my Acros. Don't really see the point in having two species very much the same and squeezing them into what space i have. I have thought about adding another queen though. How easy is it to get a hold of one ?? I dread the thought of one dying. Or,,, i could wait until Raj gets fed up with his bull ants,,, shouldnt be to long now.

Re: AndyJ's Buggery room
That was the first colony I'd ever seen when I visited his to collect discus, didn't know enough about them to distinguish species at the time.Acromyrmexbob wrote:These displays were in huge soil filled containers and the Acros grew very large. Acros will happily accommodate themselves in pods and not be overcrowded but it is possible to make them grow large in the right conditions. Colin Dunlop once raised a colony of Acros for me, he had them in a large RUB, about 60cm long, 45cm high and 45cm wide. The fungus garden filled the entire inside of the box!

The Myrmecia pavida colony has already been taken lol. Going to be sent to the new owner in September. I thought I'd get the colonies advertised for sale as soon as possible as that I won't be in a position where there is nobody to look after the colonies

And very responsible too, well done you. My wife wouldn't have let me have Bulls again, they caused a bit of friction for some reason lol.

Re: AndyJ's Buggery room
Thats really gets my goat. The whole point of an alphabet with phonetic sounds is to give whoever speaks the word a clue about how to say it. if the word sounds different from the letters used to make it then {its not rocket science) either its not being pronounced properly or it is being pronounced properly in which case .....CHANGE THE SPELLING!!!!!Leafcutter wrote:It's "Key-n-wah" apparently.Acromyrmexbob wrote:Apparently quinoa is not pronounced as its spelt. It's in reserve. Peeled tescos sprouts are a favourite at the moment.Deansie26 wrote:Tried quinoa Andy with both Atta and Acromyrmex last night and it's in both gardens this morning, nice one Andy! Will come in really handy in the winter. Brilliant
