Trials and prototypes

Post your builds, private or commercial set ups. This is where we will document the creation of housing or the planning and construction of projects from scratch. This differs from the Journal Section because this section does not concentrate on the Ants or the other animals that are being kept, this section focuses on the progress of the build.

That looks amazing. Definitely buying one. Just need to figure out how to heat it before I buy :?

Can you get a video showing a colony inside of one :)

I've got Acromyrmex in the prototype but the unit isn't a polished finish so it's not going to be the best example! I tend to keep the test models for myself because they are marked from trialling. I have three kits available for sale now with more lids on order so when I excess stock I will put the Atta's in one and photograph it for the website. The unit can be stood in water that is heated by a tropical fish heater! That is the most reliable, foolproof way to heat it consistently. :)

That is what I'll be doing, I think. I don't mind if it was the test model, I'd still like to see a video of the Acromyrmex inside of it. Just so I can get a feel for the size etc
