I bet if you added a little soil into a couple of the spheres you would get more gardens quicker Raj, is good to just spark them into it. I thought you would have more by now. What is the diameter of the spheres?

12cm diameter so volume is 905cm^3. I think of adding soil but then it means more mess and the main tubing is being blocked off at the end by debris, cellulose stems, old soil, dead leaf particles. I'll give it a go.

Try a little in one sphere Raj, they will eventually empty it in to the dump but it does help start them from my own experience, Just don't use to much as they dump it pretty quick.

Hmmm.. seeing your setup has given me even more ideas..

An enclosure in which to put the nesting chambers... interesting.. better heat stability I would imagine.. nice one.

An incubator is a good idea.

Popped some soil in the two spheres and will see if any fungus appears, hopefully they'll start more gardens
