Daubz, that looks fantastic. They are adding to the fungus, cutting leaves, tending to the queen? and behaving as they should. All together a very happy healthy picture. What a change from this time last week!! Just shows you what is possible with rapid, effective management of a situation. Addressing the issues and making big course corrections in the husbandry has brought significant results. That now looks like a colony thats going well and thriving. I remember Laast week we were holding our breath as to whether she would still be alive to help by the start of the week! You said she was on her side. You have done very well with this, well done!

He has moved them to a completely new set up, they where in a pod in a heated cupboard and now the are in a aquarium style set up so it was quite a bit more than just adding extra fungus. Some good techniques to learn from this.

The pods have been trialled with both Atta and Acromyrmex and from my own colonies I can report only success, the heating of the pods and the medium used is open to debate. Our next generation of pods feature higher entry holes allowing the setup to be stood in an aquarium set up! I'm happy with the current pods and will continue to sell them for the purpose of housing Leafcutters!
